Born: 11th January 1971, Bronx, N.Y., U.S.A. A singer/song-writer, actress and philanthropist. In the 1990's had a rocky relationship with K-Ci from Jodeci, in 2003 she married Martin Kendu Isaacs. Blige has recorded songs with and written by: Faith Evans, Whitney Houston, The Notorious B.I.G., Method Man, Jay-Z, George Michael, Lauryn Hill, Sting, Babyface, Sean "Puffy" Combs, and many others. In November 2010, Billboard Magazine ranked Blige as the most successful female R&B artist of the past 25 years, she ranked number two (overall) ahead of Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston.
