Hamilton Bohannon

Bio

American disco producer, songwriter, arranger, bandleader. Born 7 March 1942, in Newnan, Georgia, USA. He moved to Detroit in early 1960s and worked as sideman of Stevie Wonder between 1965 and 1967. Then he became responsible for live arrangements for all Motown’s top acts. When Motown relocated to Los Angeles in early 1970s, he stayed in Detroit, formed his own band and released 21 albums between 1973 and 1990. His best known song is “Let’s Start The Dance” (1978).
