Bio

Born 6th August, 1946, Allan Holdsworth is an English guitarist and composer best known for his work in jazz fusion. After recording with a number of bands throughout the seventies his first solo album was released - against his will - in 1976 ("Velvet Darkness"). The first solo album over which he had full artistic control ("I.O.U.") was released in 1982. He has been inducted into Guitar Player Magazines hall of fame and is a five-time winner of the magazines reader's poll. He was also featured in Musician Magazines 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
