Bio

American classical pianist and composer. He was born 25 December 1924 in Nanjing, China and died 15 July 2013. After receiving an early musical education from the age of 5, in Lafayette, Indiana, he attended Harvard University. He then went to Paris in 1948 to continue his education under the guidance of Nadia Boulanger.
