(b. 1981 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA) An American indie rock singer and guitarist who is known for his alternative country/americana sound which is fused with gospel and blues. Born in Memphis, Tennessee into in a strict Christian fundamentalist household. Moved to Abilene, Texas in his teens, and it was there he began experimenting on music and narcotics. He is known to have a band of musicians to accompany him on his studio albums. The only studio album to date not to have one of these bands is the 2009 release "All Dressed Up And Smelling Of Strangers".
