French jazz saxophonist (tenor). He worked with : Big Bill Broonzy (blues), Mezz Mezzrow, Bill Coleman, Dicky Wells, Buck Clayton, in his own groups featured many american jazz stars (in France) : Lionel Hampton, Duke Ellington, Milt Buckner, Wallace Davenport, Arnett Cobb, Wild Bill Davis and others. Born : January 12, 1927 in St. Gaudens, France. Died : June 10, 1998 in Simorre, France.
