Bio

Cuban pianist. Born 1919 in Santa Clara, died 2003 in Havana. He was a legend in Cuban music and counted as one of the most influental pianists of the music style Son (even though he himself never owned a piano). He only became internationally known in the 1990s through Ry Cooder's Buena Vista Social Club and afterwards released two albums.
